Nikolas Wise is an artist, web developer, and engineering manager from Portland, Oregon.
I run a software development practice, as well as provide consulting services, as Stucco Software. I write tools and apps that fill a need for myself or my community, and help others get their ideas off the ground.
I think and write a lot about how work gets done, and what the right work to do is. I believe that we can do work that meets societies needs ethically and sustainably, and that the internet can be different.
I make art with non-traditional printmaking approaches, including Risograph and Legos.
I made hashtags for websites with Nim, we call them Octothorpes. We used RDF – which against prevailing opinions I think is cool and good.
I am currently looking for my next full-time role making the internet a better place.
Talk to you soon.
